FACE Program
FACE Program at Aneth Community School
Aneth Community School is providing a bridge for a smooth transition into its learning environment by partnering with the Family and Child Education (FACE) program. FACE is an early childhood/parental involvement program for families in BIE-funded schools. FACE students learn skills to prepare for kindergarten. The program works with children aged 0-3 years in a home-based setting and transitions them into center-based learning from ages 3-5. FACE also supports parents of children from birth to 8 years old. Parents can work on personal goals with our Adult Educator, who provides support through their child’s 3rd-grade year.
All parents/guardians will benefit from their partnership in the FACE program. As their child’s first – and most influential – teacher, parents/guardians play a key role in preparing their child for school. Parents/guardians and FACE staff partner to be responsible for a student's preschool education, because FACE provides parents and children with the necessary social, emotional, listening, learning, and motor skills required for classroom learning.
FACE helps increase household literacy, develop family-school-community connections, promote early identification services to children with special needs (child find), and support and celebrate the unique cultural and linguistic diversity of American Indian communities.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to invest in their household learning by enrolling in Aneth Community School’s preschool education FACE program. If you have any questions about the application process, please contact the front office at 435-651-3271.
