At Aneth Community School, we provide high-quality educational services and create a challenging and diverse environment for our students. Our mission is to nurture accomplished lifelong readers, writers, and mathematicians, ensuring that every student reaches their fullest potential.
Our belief statements guide everything we do at ACS. We firmly believe that all students can learn and that setting high expectations leads to high achievement. We strive to provide a safe and inviting environment where students can thrive and feel supported.
We recognize the importance of teaching our students core values and life skills across all settings. Additionally, we honor and celebrate our Navajo language and culture, embracing the rich heritage of our community.
Academics are at the forefront of our focus. We prioritize student learning by emphasizing growth and mastery in grade-level priority skills for reading, writing, and language arts. We ensure that our students receive a well-rounded education by aligning our curriculum with the national Common Core State Standards. To enhance academic success, we target key vocabulary that will be included in benchmark assessments. We also foster a love for writing and reading by encouraging students to explore their thoughts, engage in dialogue, and reflect on their learning experiences.

SCHOOL VISION
Aneth Community School's vision is to ensure that quality instructional services are provided to our students each day. Our students come first in everything that we do at our school. Parents are welcome to visit, and we encourage participation in all academic activities, parent conferences, and literacy nights. We encourage parents to be supportive in sports events as well and teach their children about good sportsmanship at all games.

Strategic Transformation of Education Plan (STEP)
During the 2022-23 school year, Aneth Community School implemented the Strategic Transformation of Education Plan initiative – a digital learning portal with a blended learning approach. Our students can maximize this opportunity by accessing the digital learning portal with a 1:1 student-laptop usage ratio. This approach gives our students every advantage with integrated applications, such as personalized and assessment-based math and reading curriculum, Native language and culture educational programs, and accelerated learning strategies for our tailored instruction. Every one of our students benefits from dynamic teaching tools that use state-of-the-art resources. WELCOME TO SCHOOL YEAR 24-25
Aneth Community School welcomes all students back for the SY 24-25! We thank you for choosing Aneth Community School for providing the cultural and academic learning experience for your child.
Each scholar has special and unique characteristics. Aneth Community School allows for scholars to know themselves, embracing their characteristics and demonstrate their traditional values daily. A positive relational framework is supported here at Aneth Community School. The relational framework consists of knowing themselves, peers, adults, nature and families. The Aneth Community School will provide your scholar with the learning experience and training to make good choices. All staff will provide the education for your scholar where they are at and to challenge them to where they need to go for success. It is a journey of learning growth throughout the school year.
We appreciate your family support and together with our school staff the learning journey will be successful. Open and willing communication between home and school is the cornerstone to success in education according to many evidence -based practices and research. Therefore, our journey is together and we can expect the best outcomes for your scholars here at Aneth Community School.
And finally, parents and guardians are the most significant adults in a child’s life. We strive to create mutual respect and encourage communication with all the school staff.
